Celebrate May Day at Wilderness Wood 🌸
Welcome the beauty of spring with a joyful community gathering at Wilderness Wood!
Do come along on Saturday 2nd May from 4pm for the annual May Day celebration set in the heart of the woodland. There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, including a traditional woodland procession, delicious pop-up food, a bar, music, and plenty of dancing to bring in the season in style.
This special event is open to Hadlow Down parishioners of all ages, so bring along family and friends, dress for “Spring” and be part of this cheerful springtime tradition.
What to expect:
- 🌿 Woodland Procession from 4pm
- 🍴 Pop-up Food from 5pm
- 🍻 Bar from 5pm
- 🎶 Music & Dancing from 5pm
This is a free event, but please bring cash for food, bar and musicians.

Set amongst the colliding worlds of the 1980’s, the City and the Fairy Kingdom find a way to co-exist in the eclectic jungle of Theseus’ nightclub. Go on a journey of self discovery, mayhem and deception!
Til Tomorrow Theatre Company is an international collective of fourteen players coming from nine different countries. Using our native accents, our vibrant ensemble brings a diverse multilingual perspective to Shakespeare’s classic. With our wealth of creativity, we have double cast our production: in one day, you can experience two shows that will be completely different and unique over and over again.

We are rattling along with the frame and rafters for the new wood-house opposite the cafe – nearly ready to start using all those chestnut shingles that many of you have helped us make. Two more weddings on September 8th and 15th when the wood is closed to all other visitors and members – but open again on the Sundays at 9am.
