During the early hours of this morning (1/6/18 c. 1 am) someone dumped a large amount of rubbish in the lane. Such a large amount in fact that the lane was completely blocked and police were called. A private CCTV about 300 metre north of the site could only catch the image of a large white van and unable to capture the number plate. It is thought that the culprits were taking advantage of the general ambient noise coming from preparations for the weekend in Tinkers Park to cover their activities. Any information please direct to police on 101 and/or let the village Neighbourhood Watch know on 01825 830661

After leaving London for the English countryside, writer A.A. Milne starts to spin fanciful yarns about his son’s growing collection of stuffed animals. These stories form the basis for “Winnie-the-Pooh” and “The House at Pooh Corner,” published respectively in 1926 and 1928. Milne and his family soon become swept up in the instant success of the books, while the enchanting tales bring hope and comfort to the rest of postwar England.

It is with great regret that Hadlow Down Variety Club, following in the best tradition of British Rail, must announce that the Ghost Train scheduled to run on 4th. & 5th May has had to be postponed. One of our lead actors has suddenly fallen ill and will need a long period of recovery and we all wish him well. Being so close to the performance date finding someone to take the part on is not an option but the director and cast having already put so much work into what will be a great local theatrical production are determined that the show is not cancelled but just postponed. The new dates are November the 23rd. & 24th. The good news is that there may be more seats available! Watch this space!!
For all ticket queries and to book for the November dates ring:
