Join us at 5pm for the crowning of the May Queen (or King!) and a procession around the woods to celebrate bluebells and the year’s projects! Come and enjoy the Spring Bank Holiday in the woods - with our friendly Wood Fayre, demonstrations and drop-in workshops from member artists and makers. Pop-up food, local drinks and bluebell walks. Wood-fired Pizza by Cashew Catering (from 11.30am to 3pm) Drinks - from The Hatch (10am-4pm) Arts and Crafts in the Courtyard come and watch or get involved with our talented member makers who will be creating beautiful items to celebrate the spring. Open pottery studio with Yoni. Pony Rides with Ruby, on Gilly the pony. Open day at The Health Hut: have a tour and find out what goes on there. From herbal teas to massage, body work and therapy. Hadlow Down is well known for its association with steam engines similar to those being used in the local rural farming industries many years ago.
The first of the famous annual Tinkers Park steam engine rallies was held in 1966 in aid of Cancer Research and, in the ensuing years, it has raised over £300,000 for that charity.
