When you add or edit and entry there is a facility to add a picture (mountain box). This image either already needs to be uploaded on this website, or hosted on a third party web hosting site. I use www.photobucket.com

Once you upload images on there, you can copy the link they give, and it will display your picture!

Here's one I created earlier!

  1. Add image to photobucket
  2. Under image on photobucket, copy the "URL link",
  3. Then in hadlowdown.com select insert picture box here (mountain picture!) Paste that "URL link" in. It also gives you an opportunity to resize a photo - this one is 300 x 218

Clear as mud?

I have to admit I've rather cheekily taken an editorial edit - and changed the link to youf picture!!!

I used the second link (the one with img in the long string!). The one you had originally was the sharing one, which although fine, needed to go elsewhere to show the piccie!

If you go onto your blog now, you can edit the picture, and see where I've put the link!

Hi Conch
Thanks
I've tried all that and all it does is insert the URL link, nothing will make the image appear.  But if you click the link it takes you to the image in photobucket!?!
It may be something more fundamental on my macine, it wont insert smilies in Blogs either!
I also now need to now how to delete a post, while I was messing about I tried it as a reply in Forum and only got a link there as well i think this should be deleted!

I'll delete the long link for you...

I think you were almost there - you just needed to select that Insert image box, and add the link there rather than directly to the text.

Just give me a shout anytime though - either on here, or email to webadmin@hadlowdown.com

Many thanks Conch
I'm still not sure about it as I had tried the ordinary URL first with the same result!?!
It must be something I am doing wrong with the 'Insert/Edit Image' button?  I'll have a bit more practice without pressing the 'Submit' button when I have more time!
Any more queries I will keep forwarding on here rather than by e-mail , then any others who are as half witted as me may be able to learn from my problems!
