How many out there boycott a shop or other business because they think they have had less than satisfactory service from them?
I have not passed over the threshold of a Tesco store for over four years since I unwittingly overstayed the alloted time in their Uckfield car park.  I thought I had time to have lunch in the town as well as do my shopping but a week after the event I received a letter purporting to be from them, but actually coming from an agent of theirs called 'Parking Eye', threatening all sorts of action if I ever dared do it again!
I have no problem with Tesco putting a time limit on their customer's parking, their whole ethos is built on two premiss - 'pile it high & sell it cheap' and 'pack 'em tight & move 'em through'.  The way they manage their car park is their business and if they had just stuck a note under my windscreen wiper I would have taken note and not outstayed my welcome again - no problem.  What incensed me was they accessed what I thought was secure and private information held by the DVLC in Swansea as to my address!!  This I understand is quite legal if you are prepared to pay enough?
I complained through the proper channels and got the typical templated claptrap of a reply.  So I addressed my complaint to 'The Chief Executive'.  It was interesting to see from the five or six replys I received how each level of the heirarchic structure gave the one below a kicking but when it got back down to the very bottom of the chain (someone calling themselves 'Customer Service Manager') I got the same claptrap that I received in the first reply!
So...Never been in there since, neither has any of my family or many good friends!
Bonus.... I never realised until I shopped in a rival supermarket what a noisy and stressful place Tesco is!
